Concept work for the book, playing with shape language for each design and different color palettes.
The illustrations were thumb-nailed and sketched in Procreate, then printed out and traced onto watercolor paper for the final painting. Final edits were done in Photoshop and Procreate.

All the Other Birds
October 2024–May 2025 - 9 months
All the Other Birds follows a young Mockingbird and her insecurity driving her to try to become another bird. After failing to become another bird, she finds satisfaction in the power of her own abilities.
The story features 32 pages of traditionally painted watercolor illustrations with luscious textures and an aerial message of self-confidence.
With my background as a writer and an illustrator, a children’s picture made perfect sense for my senior thesis.
