The Clean Zine is a 4-spread zine for residents of Cornish College of the Arts’ dorm building: the Cornish Commons. Aimed at educating students on cleaning methods and routines, it was distributed through the Commons’ front desk and through an email newsletter edition. In my role as a Resident Assistant in the Commons, I found that visual infographics and cute illustrations were more successful at catching the students’ eyes than any text-only email. It didn’t take more than an hour for 50 zines to disappear from the box and into students’ hands.
