From the start, I knew I had to make a functional folding bird wing business card. A little rectangle just couldn’t cut it for a last name like Bird. I painted a giant watercolor wash and scanned it in for the background. After several prototypes, I spent four hours printing and cutting out the bird shapes using a Silhouette Cutter. The Silhouette Cutter can apparently smell fear, so I spent a painstaking amount of time getting the machine to cooperate with me. In spite of all the machine headache, I was victorious with four bird color versions.
